Volunteer Opportunities

Parker Family Health Clinic
The Parker Family Health Clinic, located on Shrewsbury  Avenue in Red Bank, is a free health care facility, where Monmouth County residents who do not have medical insurance or the ability to pay for medical care can be treated. With the support of the medical community and the community at large, the Parker Family Center assists those who are making a sincere effort to help themselves and their families realize optimum health.

The clinic appreciates volunteer help from the local community. Volunteer your office skills such as filing, organizing and more! Help with the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Parker in the business of helping others. For more information, please contact them at info@parkerfamilyhealthcenter.org! The patient population is largely Spanish and the clinic is looking for Volunteer Spanish Interpreters. If you are fluent in English and Spanish and have time to donate to the Parker Family Health Center, they would love to hear from you.

If you are interested in volunteering and would like additional details, please contact Mary Nicosia, Parker Family Health Center Director / Clinic Co-ordinator, at 732-212-0777.

Red Bank Primary School Homework Club
The Homework Club is an after school tutoring program for 2nd and 3rd graders staffed completely by high school volunteers. The sessions are Mondays at the Red Bank Primary School at 3:15 and finish up about 4:15.  Primary School students who join Homework Club are selected by their teachers and are generally the ones that not only need help with school work, but need a role model in their young lives. No tutoring experience is needed and there are only a few easy to follow guidelines. It is a fun and truly rewarding experience for all volunteers and the students form an immediate bond with the volunteers, resulting in a desire to do better in school. Volunteers feel a sense of accomplishment for making a positive difference in a child's life.  Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Mrs. Caroline Dwyer at: dwyerc@rbb.k12.nj.us or (732) 977-5622
