RBC graduate Chris Lamb (‘16) did not spend his entire Christmas break relaxing. Recognizing his own blessings, Chris decided to use his time coordinating a Christmas drive for the homeless. He implemented social media to reach out to his contacts, including fraternity brothers, family members and local and college friends to raise some money to help his cause.
He was able to raise nearly $1,000 and called on his fellow RBC alumni Liam McArdle, Zach Bettigole, Mat Lamb, Chris Lomonico, Ryan Onedias, and others for help. Together they purchased bread and cold cuts to make sandwiches, and hats, gloves and other items to help the homeless stay warm. They headed to train stations and shelters in towns including Edison and New Brunswick to hand out the food and clothing to homeless men and women.
These young men also made cash donations to Catholic Charities, Elijah’s Promise and the Alexander Jankowski Community Center, demonstrating that the Casey tradition of helping the less fortunate does not end at graduation.
